Mowing
Available in Essentials365™, Shine365™, Thrive365™
All turf areas will be maintained and mowed during the growing season according to the service schedule referenced in the agreement. During rainy or extended dry periods, more or less frequent mowing may be required. Clippings are mulched and may be left on your turf with no visible clumps remaining. Natural areas are not in scope.

Prior to service, max turf height should not exceed six (6) inches, otherwise extra charges will apply. Mowing height of your turf is to be determined by species and local conditions during the growing season and should roughly conform to the following guidelines:

Grass Type Grass Height
Tall Fescue 3.0 inches
Bermuda Grass 2.5 inches
Zoysia Grass 2.5 inches

Edging
Available in Essentials365™, Shine365™, Thrive365™
All sidewalks and curbs (hard edges) and beds (soft edges) will be mechanically edged using a stick edger, string trimmer, or equivalent throughout the agreement period to maintain a neat appearance. This service will be based on the service schedule referenced in the agreement. Turf along hardscapes and turf along softscape areas shall be edged every visit. Groundcover will be maintained in a healthy, vigorous growing condition. Maintainable groundcover, or groundcover with a clearly defined line, will be trimmed back from sidewalks, curbs, tree trunk, and paved areas if new growth appears.

Upon completion of the work, any walkway, patio, sidewalk, driveway, and road frontage on your property should have at least a 0.25” separation. All landscape beds will be clearly defined and not have any grass encroaching them. New growth from groundcover will be cut back if at a maintainable level.

Lawn.com will not be responsible for any damage to improperly buried cables and shall notify the Property Owner or Property Manager as listed in the agreement under “Owner.”

Tidy Up
Available in Essentials365™, Shine365™, Thrive365™
Once mowing and edging are complete, a backpack blower will be used to blow all debris from landscaped areas and hardscapes. No leaves or landscape debris will remain in high visibility areas. Clippings and other debris will be blown onto your turf or natural areas. Natural areas are not in scope.

Leaf and Debris Cleanup
Available in Essentials365™, Shine365™, Thrive365™
Fallen leaves, sticks, twigs, and small branches will be removed from your turf and landscaped areas. Leaves from beds and hard surfaces will be blown onto your turf and mulched to return nutrients to your lawn. Excess leaves will be blown to natural areas on your property. If the amount of excess leaves is too much to be contained to your lawn and natural areas, we will bag up to 55 gallons of leaves and place the bags street-side. Bags can be placed on other areas of your property – just let us know your preferred location. Anything over 55 gallons can be bagged for a supplemental fee. Larger debris – such as fallen limbs and trees – can be cut up and hauled away for a supplemental fee. In the fall we will collect up to 110 gallons of leaves and debris.

Pre-Emergent Weed Control
Available in Shine365™, Thrive365™
This includes application of granular or liquid pre-emergent to all turf areas of your property with a broadcast spreader. Following the application, a Lawn.com pesticide flag will be left in a visible area. We recommend staying off of application areas for at least 24 hours. If a granular pre-emergent is used, residual granules will be blown off of all hardscapes.

Post-Emergent Weed Control
Available in Shine365™, Thrive365™
This includes application of granular or liquid post-emergent to all turf areas of your property with a broadcast spreader. Following the application, a Lawn.com pesticide flag will be left in a visible area. We recommend staying off of application areas for at least 24 hours. If a granular post-emergent is used, residual granules will be blown off of all hardscapes.

Turf Fertilization
Available in Shine365™, Thrive365™
Fertilizer, granular or liquid chemical, will be applied to all turf areas on your property with a broadcast spreader to promote growth, health, and color of warm season grasses. We recommend staying off of application areas for at least 24 hours. If a granular fertilizer is used, residual granules will be blown off of all hardscapes.

Lime Soil Conditioning
Available in Thrive365™
This includes application of granular or liquid lime to all turf areas of your property with a broadcast spreader. Following the application, a Lawn.com pesticide flag will be left in a visible area. We recommend staying off of application areas for at least 24 hours. If granular lime is used, residual granules will be blown off of all hardscapes.

Aeration
Available in Thrive365™
A plug aerator will be used to perforate the entire surface of your turf. Natural areas are not in scope for aeration. There will be a minimum of one pass on your turf to allow for 5-6 holes per square foot of turf. After all turf has been core-aerated, any cores or dirt on hardscapes will be blown back onto your turf.

Shrub Pruning
Available in Shrub Care
Shrubs and hedges will be pruned or sheared to form a good growth habit. “Tip pruning,” or new growth up to a maximum of 6” of growth will be pruned in shrub pruning service visits. Removal of new growth extending beyond the face of curbs or sidewalks and trimming to prevent shrubs/plants from climbing walls (unless they are intended to climb the wall, such as climbing vines) will be performed. Formal hedges and topiary shall be regularly pruned to maintain a uniform height and width.

A maintenance visit does not include renovation pruning. If renovation pruning is advisable, Lawn.com will provide this service at an additional cost with approval from the Property Owner or Property Management.

Upon completion of the work, all debris will be mulched, removed, or blown into the natural areas of your property depending on the kind of debris that is produced. If debris accumulation exceeds what we can remove in one trip, we will call you to advise of a later date for debris removal.

Ornamental Grass (Winter Pruning)
Available in Shrub Care
During dormant months, we will trim back tall ornamental grasses and remove any dead stems in the center. Height will be dependent on type of grass, location on your property, and the formation of the grass. Debris accumulation will be completed following the service.

Shrub Fertilization
Available in Shrub Care
This is an application of a granular 14-14-14 fertilizer to all of the landscape bed areas to feed the existing plants, shrubs, and trees. No more than a handful per plant will be applied. All hardscapes and scoped areas will have fertilizer residue blown off. We recommend staying off of application areas for at least 24 hours.

Bed Weed Control
Available in Deluxe Bed Care
Weed control shall be maintained in shrubbery beds, mulched areas, tree rings, sidewalk cracks, and curbs on maintenance visits. Large weeds will be trimmed down to a low height and then sprayed with the herbicide. Upon completion, all weeds will be reduced in height and then sprayed with herbicide, as necessary. We recommend staying off of application areas for at least an hour.
